Did you know our lavender journey started all the way back in 1991? ![]()
When our Director, Liz Ballinger, decided to plant those first couple thousand bushes on her Wolseley farm, it wasn’t exactly a traditional choice for the area.
Surrounded by traditional crops like wheat, barley, and sheep farming, local farmers driving by were more than a little curious about what she was up to!
From a distance, a dormant lavender paddock can look a bit bare..but Liz had a vision. Next thing everyone knew, the field burst into brilliant purple bloom.
Local farmers went from skeptical to amazed, saying, "She's got such a green thumb that you could give her a dead stick and it would grow."
We’ve been growing, experimenting, and blooming right here ever since.
We're open today (Friday) and Sunday from 10am - 4pm.
